How to enter Employment Expenses?

Note: You need to have your employer complete a form T2200 as the certificate for you to qualify for the claim.

Tip: Employed tradespersons can use box "Tradesperson's tools expenses" to calculate the tools expenses. You have to let the software calculate the claim based on your costs and earned income. You might also be able to claim "Apprentice mechanic tools expenses" in the next box. For more information, you can refer to tax guide here.

• If you are in Simple View:

Click on "Interview setup" ==> check "Employment expenses" on the right ==> click Next at the bottom ==> click on "Employment expenses" on the left.

• If you are in expert view:

Click on "Employment expenses" under "Expenses & Deductions" on the left.
