Can I change my Direct Deposit info using NETFILE?
You cannot start, stop or make changes to your direct deposit information using NETFILE.
- When using Netfile, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will use the information they already have on record for you. Your direct deposit information CANNOT be transmitted with your return.
- If you need to start, stop or change your direct deposit information, please visit the the My Account service on CRA Web site, or contact CRA by phone at 1-800-959-8281 prior to using NETFILE.
- Once you have entered banking information at our "Bank Account Information" page, electronic filing will become unavailable and you will only have the option
to print and mail a paper return to CRA. This prevents the perception that your banking information will be sent to CRA but actually it's not.
