1. Who can use TaxChopper?

TaxChopper can handle all tax situations except the following:

1. Quebec provincial returns

2. Non-resident returns
|
3. Pre- or post-Bankruptcy returns.

2. Does TaxChopper support my browser?

TaxChopper supports all major browsers in MS Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Unix, we have tested the following:

On Microsoft Windows, from Windows 10, 8 all the way down to Windows 95, we support Internet Explorer,
Netscape and FireFox / Mozilla / Chrome.

On Mac OS, we support Safari, Chrome, Netscape, FireFox, Opera and OmniWeb.
|
On Linux / Unix, we support Opera, Chrome, Mozilla, Konqueror and Firefox.

3. I can't finish a tax return in one visit, can I save the data and come back later?
|
YES. Whatever information you have entered is saved on our secure severs and you can access it any time you want.
|
Furthermore, you can use different computers, different platforms or different browsers to access the same account.
|
There is no expiration date for an account. It is always there unless you remove it.
|

4. How the number of returns is counted?
|
Not all returns you prepare are counted, only the ones you want to download are counted. You can choose not to
designate a return downloadable, in this case, you can still see the calculated results on screen.
|
Once a return is designated as downloadable, you can't reverse it.
|
We use social insurance numbers to identify different returns. If the SIN is empty, we use first and last names to identify a return.
That means, after generating a return, if you change the SIN, then you might have used two returns.
